What's New ... Scott contributes to report to help guide compensation use in Nordic countries

2015.10.02. Scott is one of the main contributing authors to a new report produced for the Nordic Council of Ministers, which oversees a cooperation among Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland. The report is timely, as it discusses how the Nordic countries can best incorporate the increasingly popular use of compensatory offsets to repair environmental damage from e.g., oil spills, infrastructure development, or other human impacts. The report identifies key trade-offs involved in developing a common Nordic framework and makes suggestions on how best to encourage an effective cooperation between the countries as they begin to implement new regulatory demands related to environmental compensation.
