What's New ... Scott presents at the "Raptors & Energy Development" special session of RRF Conference

2010.09.25. Scott was the only environmental economist among a gathering of raptor experts for the annual Raptor Research Foundation (RRF) Conference. His presentation entitled "Ex Post Compensation for White-Tailed Eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) Impacts at the Smøla Wind Farm: An Application of Equivalency Analysis" focused on how to scale an appropriate amount of resource-based compensation to offset bird losses from turbine collisions. His presentation discussed a case study of the Smøla Wind farm (Norway), but the methodology is applicable at wind power sites in general. More information can be found at the conference website.
