What's New ... Scott defends his Licentiate Thesis at the Swedish Agricultural University - Umeå

logoSLU2010.05.21 Scott has completed his study of what it means to compensate the public for environmental damage. His Licentiate Thesis -- a half-way thesis en route to a full PhD -- examined the economic welfare implications of measuring an appropriate amount of environmental restoration to offset the loss of environmental resources (e.g., from an oil spill or infrastruture project). His case study examined how one might compensate for impacts to birds from wind power facilities. Scott anticipates completing his PhD in 2011. You can read his thesis here.
